Waheed was invited by Barnard College's Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Kelli Murray, and officially appointed by American legal scholar and Barnard College President Laura Rosenbury to serve on the College's AI Pilot and AI Working Groups. In this role, she contributes to institutional discussions on AI integration, governance, and academic policy, representing student perspectives in high-level decision-making processes and trials.

Leadership Council Member & Northeast Network Ambassador

American Pakistan Foundation

In her current role, Waheed serves on the Leadership Council of the American Pakistan Foundation as the NYC Network Ambassador. Her work involves civic engagement initiatives, community programming, research, and other forms of outreach efforts aimed at strengthening political participation and leadership development within Pakistani-American communities.

Waheed founded the first undergraduate law journal across the City University of New York system, collaborating with pre-law students across multiple CUNY campuses. She established a competitive contributor selection process and worked with faculty and legal professionals to curate scholarship on case law and current legal issues.

Founder โ€” LSAT Launchpad Program

John Jay College of Criminal Justice

During her time as Vice President of John Jay's Law Society, Waheed launched a free LSAT preparation initiative designed to expand equitable access to legal education. The program offered structured study materials, practice exams, review sessions, and more for students pursuing law school, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.

Waheed was selected by John Jay College of Criminal Justice's Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Allison Pease and senior academic leadership to serve as a student representative on a policy committee tasked with developing institutional guidelines for the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence. Working alongside faculty and industry professionals, she contributed to policy discussions that shaped college-wide academic standards adopted by the institution.

Co-Founder โ€” NASAI Foundation

At NASAI, Waheed co-founded a women's health nonprofit focused on menstrual health education and access. Her work included authoring educational materials, organizing fundraising initiatives, and co-producing a podcast addressing global women's health issues.
